As Singh began the applicant tracking system (ATS) search, they did their due diligence in evaluations as they looked at a minimum of five or six solution providers. In the end, “talentReef had the best start to finish solution that exceeded the expectations of what we were looking for,” says Aaron Fenberg, Singh Director of Human Resources. “From posting an open position through the hiring and onboarding process, talentReef was clearly the best fit for our organization.” In fact, talentReef’s onboarding functionality is what solidified Singh’s decision to go with talentReef as it was not an area of functionality they had initially planned on when evaluating an ATS. Fenberg further states that the compliance and consistency of the talentReef “onboarding module is invaluable.” 

Prior to using talentReef, Singh’s turnover was in excess of 100%. With the implementation of talentReef and some improvements in their hiring and interviewing process, Singh’s turnover has decreased by more than half. In 2012, turnover was at 62%. They saw an even bigger decrease in their second full year with talentReef as turnover dropped in 2013 to 42%. 

Savings from turnover aside, Singh has also seen a savings in time and paper. Candidates now complete all paperwork prior to their first day on the job so they can begin training immediately. This eliminates the need to print 50+ sheets of paper, twice, for each new hire as all onboarding forms and documents are online. Also, managers no longer have to spend time going over applicant and new hire paperwork as the system goes through a defined process.
